Ravi Babu bags 13 B rights!
Director Ravi Babu who is riding high on his recent success 'Nacchavule' is getting ready to remake a Hindi film. It is learnt that, Ravi Babu bought the rights of latest Hindi horror flick '13 B'. This film did not show great impact at Bollywood box-office but was praised by film critics and movie lovers. Ravi Babu is very much impressed with the story of the film and decided to make this in Telugu.
It is not known whether Ravi Babu's immediate next project would be this remake or not. He already registered two titles 'Agent Gopi' and 'Amaravathi' in the past. So, we have to wait for sometime to know Ravi Babu's decision on his next project.

Ravi Teja’s latest film
Anjaneyulu is launched at Rama Naidu studios today morning at 7:30 am. This film is going to be directed by Parasuram (Yuvatha fame). Actor turned producer Ganesh produces this film on Parameswara Arts banner. Nayana Tara plays female lead. Taman S will score the music.
Pawan Kalyan performed pooja. Renu Desai sounded the clapboard, Bathula Satyanarayana switched on the camera and VV Vinyak directed the first shot.

Director Raj Aditya is no more
Director Raj Aditya (Pourudu director) who made his debut through Pourudu film died today by attempting suicide at Hotel Basera today morning. His latest film Malli Malli is releasing today. Malli Malli film also deals with the serious issue of a guy attempting suicide and then change the decision that he should live and fight back. Idlebrain.com met Raj Aditya on 19 March at Prasad labs for an interview. He looked tensed because at the same time the censoring process was going on. Raj Aditya is a good man and a kind human being. The reasons for suicide are unknown. May his soul rest in peace!!
Malli Malli takes place in 12 hours
Raj Aditya (Pourudu fame) latest flick ‘Malli Malli’ is releasing on 21 March. This film features Skanda and Kalyanee as the main leads. This film is a thriller that happens between 6 am and 6 pm on a day. Bollywood actor Sachin Khedekar does an important role.
Manorama is the hotel’s name
Lots of people might be thinking that Manorama is the name of Charmme’s character in forthcoming thriller Manorama. But Manorama is said to be the name of the hotel around which this thriller revolves around. Charmme plays the role of an easy going girl with a special skill of lip-reading. The story of the film takes place in 12 hours between sunrise and sunset of a day. Eeswar Reddy (Mee Sreyobhilashi fame) directs this film. Zee Entertainment Enterprizes limited is producing it. Manorama is all set to hit the marquee on the eve of Ugadi on 27 March.

Ram Charan Teja is signed as the brand ambassador for Pepsi. A few TV commercials featuring Ram Charan Teja and Deepika Padukone will be screened in TV channels soon. Incidentally all four heroes from Mega family acted in cool drinks commercials. They are Chiranjeevi (Thumps Up), Pawan Kalyan (Pepsi), Allu Arjun (7 Up) and now Ram Charan Teja (Pepsi).

Trisha in Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum
Victory Venkatesh on Tuesday called up to Trisha to confirm that she is going to be his next heroine in the movie titled “Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum”. Previously it was reported that Venky may opt for a bollywood beauty like Priyanka Chopra for this movie. But now strangely he is opting Trisha and has confirmed to her that she will be his beloved in his next film. Trisha who is working in three big banners in Tamil has only 1 film in tollywood opposite to Nagarjuna. It is reported that she will complete her portions in Tamil by august ending and till November is idle. So from September “Gamyam” Fame Krish is going to schedule the shooting of “Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum” and the shooting will go on till November first week.
A second heroine role is still vacant in this movie and is thinking for a bollywood babe to do a cameo.
Balaya and Nagarjuna to act together
Nataratna Balakrishna and Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna are going to be seen on the silver screen soon. Both the heroes are going to play vital roles in one film. It will be for the first time that the two big stalwarts of tollywood will be seen in one film. The title for the film is likely to be “ Naranarayanulu”. It is also confirmed that versatile director Raghavendra Rao is going to direct this film.
Nagarjuna is planning to produce the film on his home banner “Annapurna” while Raghavendra rao is planning to do it on his home banner RK productions. Nagarjuna will play the character role of Narudu and Balaya babu is going to don the role of Narayanudu. Since two big heroes are going to be featured in one film the investments will be more and the returns will also be more.
After confirming the producer, the director will look out for the female lead. Some sources say that Ramya Krishna, Nagma, Anushka and Tabu may play vital roles in this film. Nayantara may also get the call.
Politics Killing Tollywood
Chiranjeevi’s political entry has widened the eyes of many political parties in the state as well as central .But the fact that his political entry will keep him out of the film industry is making his fans more angry. Though they are in the hope that Chiru will become a best Chief Minister, the fact that he will quit his acting career has made them miffed up.
In the coming elections not only Chiranjeevi, but Balakrishna, Brahmanandham, Dr Rajendra Prasad and Actor Srikanth, Mohan Babu, Krishnam Raju, Superstar Krishna, Junior NTR, along with many character artists are going to step into politics. Though the entry of Character artists may not make a difference to the Telugu audience. But Big Star’s like Mohan Babu, Balakrishna and comedian Brahmanandham may have to leave the film industry to enter politics. As a result many of their fans, who worship them as stalwarts of Indian cinema, will have to suppress their likings towards their lovable actors.
So, very soon the tollywood will face the scarcity of quality actors, who can entertain their fans to the maximum.
Spanish Film Festival in Hyderabad
The first Spanish Film festival is going to takes place in Hyderabad from 20th March. MOVING IMAGES is organizing event in association with TEAMWORKS PRODUCTIONS. Six films are to be screened over the weekend at Prasads Multiplex.
Aparajita Sinha, Author and founder of Moving Images said: “The three-day cultural festival will also allow experts to sample authentic Spanish cuisine, at the Taj Deccan Hotel, who is a partner for the programme. The screenings have been scheduled at Prasads IMAX theatre from March 20- 22. Five films, selected by the Spanish embassy will be screened, which will include two directorial debuts as well. There is a press conference on 19th March to meet the Spanish delegation coming for the festival.
There are two events - the curtain raiser to the festival on 19th March at Taj Deccan and then the Festival opening at Prasads Multiplex on 20th March”.
In addition to watching the film alone, filmgoers will get a chance to mingle with directors of four of the five films scheduled for screening. Malena Alterio, actress of the second film in the series, ‘Suso’s Tower’, will also be present at the festival.
Film festivals in the City will now be cast with a country- specific focus. Audiences will be able to connect with the films, owing to the cultural similarities between the two countries.
