బాలీవుడ్ రీమేక్‌లో నాగ్‌?

There have been several reports from the past few months about Tollywood superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna stepping in shoes of Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn in Telugu remake of Raid. The latest news that is doing rounds from the past couple of days is filmmaker Praveen Sattaru will be donning the director’s hat.

As per reports from deccanchronicle.com, Praveen recently met Nagarjuna following which the latter has narrated the script and it didn’t take much time for Kedi actor to give his nod for the project.

A source close to Nagarjuna in an interview to the tabloid stated that Nagarjuna will be playing an honest Income Tax Officer in the film. The original script for the film is been written by Praveen himself and it will have some resemblance to Ajay Devgn’s Bollywood hit Raid which released in 2018.

However, an official confirmation for the same from Praveen and Nagarjuna is awaited

Biopic on Malala Yousafzai to hit the screens on January 31

Gul Makai, a biopic on Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, is slated to be released on January 31, 2020.

The film has been directed by HE Amjad Khan and produced by Sanjay Singla. It is presented by Jayantilal Gada and Tekno Films.

Actor Reem Shaikh will star as Malala. The movie also features Divya Dutta, Pankaj Tripathi, Atul Kulkarni and Mukesh Rishi in pivotal roles.

According to a press release issued by the makers, Gul Makai charts "the courageous journey of Ziauddin Yousafzai family, when Swat Valley in Pakistan was seized by Taliban gunmen in 2009 and Sharia law was imposed upon its people."

Malala, daughter of Ziauddin Yousafzai, spoke against the world's most dangerous terrorist organisation through her blogs on the BBC Urdu website under the pseudonym Gul Makai, against the oppression faced by them in Swat Valley, Pakistan, it added.

Yousafzai spoke for the rights of girls, especially the right to receive a complete education, her courage and bravery gained worldwide recognition and support.
