What is Good: The dialogs are extremely hard hitting. The ones about the movie reviews and the obscene pictures used for publicity of newspapers and magazines are particularly pointed and raise a few valid points. Ravi Teja’s dialog about the three things required for love is also very good. Ravi Teja’s performance is energetic as usual and considering his own struggle in the industry, the role must have been a cakewalk. Seiya, Mumaith Khan, Sayaji Shinde, Supreeth and Rama Prabha prove able supporting actors. The film’s dialogs are its strength though they lack the typical mass punch of Jagan. Sairam Shankar’s cameo is good too.

What is bad: Too much violence in the tradition of other recent Puri films. The violence has been particularly Music is a weak link and the placement of the songs is very abrupt. Also, the heroine’s role is inconsistent and the way she pops up and then disappears for a while is disconcerting. The film also uses a number of swear words and Puri seems to have decided that his film is not really for family audiences. The comedy element is slightly weak in the fillm.
Me Thinks: Neninthe is a hard hitting film that is not afraid of taking digs at anyone. Go watch Neninthe if only to understand how things work in the film industry. Do not expect a pucca mass entertainer and you will not be disappointed – Good one time watch!

Brahmanandam as Music Director in King
Seenu Vytla knows how to present Brahmanandam in the most hilarious way. His blockbusters Dhee and Ready are the examples. As per the confidential sources of idlebrain.com, Brahmanandam is going to be another highlight of King film too. He is said to have donned the role of a music director in King film and the runtime of his role is said to be around 30 minutes. King is all set to release on 24 of December.

Ticket rates increased
Good news to the December big flicks like Neninthe and King. The Government has passed GO today evening to increase the ticket rate of upper stalls to Rs. 50/- and Rs. 35/- for A/C and non-A/C theaters respectively. These rates will be in effect from 19 December 2008 onwards. This ticket rate is going to help Neninthe and King films immensely.

Geeta Krishna to direct a thriller
Geeta Krishna (of Kokila fame) has not been directing any films in the past one decade. He is planning to direct a suspense thriller in the first half of 2009. He is going to produce it on his own banner. More details later.

Maska audio on 21 December
Music of Ram’s latest film Maska will be launched by Aditya music on 21 December. The album will be available in the mark on 24 December. Chakri composed music. Kandikonda penned lyrics for all the six songs. Hansika Motwani and Sheila are doing female leads. B Gopal directs this mass masala film. Shoot of talkie part of the film is complete. Maska will be released on 14 January 2009.

Vishnu becomes a fighter
Actor Vishnu Manchu has taken membership in AP Fighters Association. Tammareddy Bharadwaja gave the membership to Vishnu on behalf of the union. Speaking on this eve Vishnu said that he has tremendous respect to the profession of fights and he personally like stunts a lot. He promised that he would chip in some help in organizing seminars and workshops about action choreography by flying in Hollywood technicians.

Three releases this week
This week is witnessing releases of big film Neninthe and small films Nachavule and Chedugudu. Neninthe is expected to be a hard hitting film about film industry. Puri Jagan – Ravi Teja’s Neninthe is releasing on 18th December. Ravi Babu’s Nachavule is made with new faces on Ramoji Rao’s Usha Kiron Movies banner. Nachavule is releasing on 19th December. Actor Bhanu Chandar’s son Jayanth’s debut film Chedugudu is also releasing on 19 December.

Neninthe in Hindi?

Ram Gopal Varma is said to be impressed with some scenes in Neninthe and is said to have updated Abhishek Backchan about this project. Puri Jagan’s latest film Neninthe will be remade in Hindi with Abhishek if it becomes a big hit in Telugu. Neninthe is all set to release on 18 December.

Eight popular heroines of Telugu cinema are going to shake their legs with Nagarjuna in his latest film King for the song ‘Nuvvu Ready’. Brindra choreographed this song for eight days on Trisha, Mamata Mohandas, Anushka, Charmme, Priyamani, Genelia, Sneha Ullal and Kamna Jetmalani. King is all set to release on 24 December.

Dil Raju in trouble

After completion of 60 days of KBL’s run, the archeology society of India has raised an objection for shooting Kotha Bangaru Lokam film in Bouddha Kshetram in Visakha district without taking prior permission. The archeology department is going to send a notice to the producer Dil Raju in this regard. What is the use to raising an objection when the film’s run is nearing completion?

Uday Kiran’s new film details

Uday Kiran has signed a new project recently. This film will be produced by P Uday Kiran and directed by Srikanth Vemulapally. This producer-director duo made a film titled ‘Black and white’ which got good critical acclaim. Uday Kiran’s film is going to be an action love story. This film will go to floors in the month of February 2009.

Yuan’s music for Oye

Yuan Shankar Raja will be providing music for a straight Telugu film after a long gap. He will score music for Siddhardh’s latest film Oye that is being produced by Danayya. Anand who worked for Bommarillu directs this film. Shamili who acted as child artist in Anjali and Jagadeka Veeruku Atiloka Sundari is making her debut as heroine in this film.

Shyam Prasad Reddy is known for his passion in filmmaking. He is a perfectionist who does not compromise on production values. His latest film Arundhati which was launched a couple of years back is complete now. Anushka is doing two roles in this period film. Kodi Rama Krishna directed this film. ANR award to Vyjayanthimala Mala

The latest ANR award will be given to Vyjayanthimala Bali for her contribution to Indian film industry and towards Bharata Natyam. In a press meet held today ANR announced that the 4th awardee Vyjayanthimala Bali will be honored with a memento and 4 lacs cash award on 10 January in Jubilee Halls, Public Gardens, Hyderabad.

Dev Anand, Shabana Azmi and Anjali Devi were given the first three awards for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 respectively. These awards are instituted by Akkineni International Foundation which was started with a corpus fund of 1 crore by ANR.

Chiranjeevi offered blood from Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust to the injured in Mumbai. CCT is also holding blood camps in Mumbai. Mitsubishi branding for Komuram Puli

It is the time of co-branding for Telugu cinema. As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Mitsubishi motor company sponsored a Pajero vehicle for Pawan Kalyan’s Komuram Puli film. Pawan Kalyan is using this car as his vehicle in this film. Reliance Communications is also a brand partner for the film and Reliance is going to spend a huge amount of money for the outdoor publicity of the film.

Ajay as Sarai Veerraju
Kannan who worked with SS Rajamouli for many films and also with Krish for Gamyam film is going to make his debut as a director with a bilingual film. This film is titled as ‘Sarai Veerraju’ in Telugu. Actor Ajay who did many prominent negative roles in the past is going to do the title role in this film. There will be two heroines. Lots of Telugu theater artists were signed to play vital roles in this film. It will be launched in the month of December.

Brahmanandam direction in Neninthe
Comedy king Brahmanandam is said to have donned the role of a director in Puri Jagan’s directed film Neninthe. Ravi Teja is doing the role of an assistant director. This film is said to be having very good satires on film industry. Seeya is making her debut as heroine. Shooting of the film is complete. The music will be released soon. Neninthe is going to release in December.

Bhumika’s film magazine movie minar
Bhumika Chawla is getting into media business now. She is going to own a Telugu movie magazine called ‘Movie Minar’. This magazine will be launched at a function organized in Hotel Novotel on the night of 29 November. Her home production on ‘Downtown Films’ banner is also going to be launched at the same venue. Srihari Nanu who directed her film Satyabhama (remake of 50 first dates) is going to direct that film.

2 be frank i was eagerly waiting for this movie from so many days as posters are giving diff sense and it was taken by dil raju .

What is Good: The characters in the movie are quite endearing. Be it the hot-headed Sonia who is the biggest draw in the movie or Krishnudu as the innocent do-gooder, they do not become larger-than-life as superheroes. Poonam Kaur is the surprise package in her performance as the cute best friend. The movie moves at an even pace with the no major twists and with the emotional pieces coming in the second-half. The entire movie is shot in Hyderabad which gives it a local flavor.

What is bad: At times, the movie gives you the feel of a television serial due to a lack of technical finesse. Some of the supporting casts in minor roles come up with some really bad acting. There is an unwanted sub-plot of an office casanova who suddenly disappears mid-way. The music is nothing to rave about except for one song “Hai Hi Hyderabad”.

Me Thinks:worth watch once nice movie

Tailpiece: Despite the many opportunities available in the form of a fat hero, there are hardly any tasteless jokes or stereotypes about fat people in the movie which is highly commendable!!!

Vinayakudu on 22 November

The movie vinayakudu is all set to release on november 22. Dil Raju bought the movie rights for Nizam and Vizag and Suresh Productions is distributing for the rest of India. RK films bought it for USA. 1st copy will be ready by tomorrow and going for censoring on Monday. This film started as a small film and became a big film by the time of release due to lot of hype. I would like to thank the media for helping us out to get a good craze.

"story line is ok...but handling the movie is done rather bad...for a debut director its a good work....story has lot of ups n downs
suddenly we r thrilled then again we r bored...story goes wayward in times...but it does have memorable moments"

he film is the story of an autowallah – Auto Akbar (Kamal Kamaraju). Akbar drives an auto from Devarakonda to Vikarabad and aspires to become a graduate someday inspite of failing thrice. Lakshmi (Bindu Madhavi) comes to Devarakonda along with her family. Lakshmi makes pickles and her aim is to sell her pickles worldwide one day. Their paths collide and Akbar finds himself being attracted to Lakshmi and vice versa. How does this combination of Avakai and Biryani work out? Watch the movie and find out for yourself!

What is Good: The auto race, Kamal's results scene, the songs, the background score are all good. Anish shows of his flair for emotional moments in the film. Kamal Kamaraju is a fine actor and he performs quite naturally. He is not your conventional Tollywood hero, but he can carve out a niche for himself. Bindu Madhavi is beautiful and acts quite well too. She gets a meaty role and must say she sinks her teeth into it. Rao Ramesh gets a short role, but the spark of his father is visible. The photography by Shamdat is topnotch and the frames are all very well composed. Manikanth Kadri does a very good job of the background score and the songs come out very well on screen

what is bad: Anish Kuruvilla indulges in his baby too much. The second half runs for too long and there are a lot of scenes that can be chopped off with minimal damage to the film. There are many scenes that go on for longer than they should have and put you off track. Also, he does try to tackle too many things at once, like Ashutosh Gowariker does in his Swades. He wants to show the characters' personal struggles, their social responsibilities, religious unity, rich-poor divide – too many ingredients are crammed in. The editor should have been stricter and that would have given Avakai Biryani the much needed life. The pace of the film, especially in the last hour should have been better.

Me Thinks: Inspite of all its flaws, Avakai Biryani is worth a watch. Way too many films take the audience for granted and dish out routine stories. Avakai Biryani tries to tread a different path and though not entirely successful, it does deserve encouragement.

Tailpiece: A quarter of a brownie point (rating) extra only because of the Telugu girl, Bindu Madhavi. She is beautiful and looked amazing in the Veerudena song.

Mahesh film from 2 December

Mahesh Babu’s latest film in the direction of Trivikram will start on 2 December in Rajasthan. It will be shot extensively in Rajasthan, Nashik and South Africa. Parvati Melton is doing the role of main heroine. Singanamala Ramesh produces this film. The producing is aiming for summer release in July 2009.

King audio in Gachibowli stadium

The fans of Nagarjuna are going have a gala time on 23 November because Nagarjuna is going to give them a double treat. King audio will release on 23 November at Gachibowli stadium. Naga Chaitanya is going to be introduced to the public and media at the same venue. Incidentally 23 November is the birthday of Naga Chaitanya. The audio will be available in the market by 30 November. Nagarjuna and the unit will be leaving to abroad to shoot a couple of songs. Aditya music bought the audio rights.

The storyline of Pawan Kalyan’s film in the direction of Puri Jagan is ready. Puri Jagan is now in Bangkok to do the detailed script work. Shooting of his latest film Neninthe is almost complete. His next film with Pawan Kalyan will be launched in the first half of next year. Ganesh (comedy actor) produces this film. Bade Ravi Kiran presents it.

Meher Ramesh who made his debut in Telugu with Kantri film is currently directing Billa with Prabhas as hero. Anushka and Namitha are doing female leads. Prabodh (brother of Prabhas) and Narendra produce this film on Gopi Krishna Movies banner. Krishnam Raju plays a special role. Hansika Motwani who entertained the crowds with Desamuduru and Kantri is doing a special role in Billa. This film is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Billa which is based on Hindi classic Don.

There is a lip-to-lip kiss in Avakai Birani that was conceived in a poetic manner. Sekhar Kammula is said to have commended Anish for the aesthetics of that scene and compared it to that of Geetanjali film. However, it was deleted from the film as the censor board objected to the visual. However, as per the sources of idlebrain.com, it will be screened for the movie lovers in overseas. This film is releasing with 11 prints overseas (9 prints in USA). The producer Sekhar Kammula is arranging a special premiere tonight at 10:30 pm in Prasads multiplex for the press, unit members and celebrities from the film nagar.

Auto Ride for a $1 in USA

Avakai Biryani opens tonight at Hollywood theaters, Irving . 2 Bajaj Autos are going to be part of the premier night festivities which start at 7 pm. People can take auto rides at the theater by paying $1 each. It’s an opportunity and time for NRIs to get some Nostalgic rides in Auto.
